Hit-Run Driver At Large After Killing Pedestrian In Maryland, Police Say (Developing)

Police are working to identify the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that was reported late in Prince George's County on Saturday night.

A pedestrian was walking along Saint Barnabas Road shortly before midnight on Jan. 13 when they were struck by a driver who proceeded to speed away, rather than stopping in Temple Hills.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, at around 11:55 p.m. on Saturday night, a man was walking in the 4500 block of Saint Barnabas Road when a driver traveling south struck him and fled the area.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, and now investigators are attempting to establish the make and model of the vehicle involved in the fatal strike.

It remains under investigation.
